Nov 13, 2018 · I have the petrol 1.4 ordered for a build date of early July which sounds like we're on a similar timetable. My Audi dealer did say to me when I ordered that the scare stories over diesel cars and possible extra government charges meant that literally no one had ordered a diesel since the reports came out and many who had already ordered were trying to change their orders to petrol engines.

May 08, 2017 · My last car was a 2013 S5 which was great and no issues with the auto box. Currently have an RS3 and find the auto fine in this also. Why have Audi ditched the s-tronic for the new S4 and seamingly fitted an inferior auto box ? I've heard a lot of negative comments about the auto on the new 4's now. Not liking the sound of this at all !!!

In hindsight I wouldn't have ordered one, and instead tried to get one from a dealership (i.e. in-stock) or get an S3 instead...Audi are delivering S3s in 3 months or less. VW are taking nearly 6 for a pretty much identical car.
