Sep 01, 2008 · Nasal prongs are used in current practice, however, nasopharyngeal oxygen therapy may be an alternative nasal oxygen delivery device. Future research in the use of nasal prongs and nasopharyngeal oxygen in patients with higher oxygen requirements would be helpful.
