I don't think it's necessary to rebuild a YFZ every 20-30hrs if the proper maintenance is being done. In my experience majority of engine failures are from low oil levels, dirty oil, and dirt passing through air filters.

On my YFZ, I have had it a year almost andhave approximately 20 to 25 hours on it and it runs great too. I don't plan on doing anything major to my engine unless of course something tragically happened to it on a whim but in my gut opinion, it will lat for quite a long time before it needs to be rebuilt.

Other than keeping the air filter clean and changing the oil and filter and maybe adjusting the valves once a year you should be good to go. I used to post on YFZCentral.com and bluetraxx.com and theres people on there who have 300-400 hours on their YFZs before the motors needed to rebuilt. 300-400 hours is a lot of riding, IMO.
