In my experience with PE I have never had to have the disc run for more than 24hours in a recovery situation. Now the 6 process limit is another issue, this was addressed in WinPE 2004(1.5) {and the Longhorn PE builds} with the addition of Winpeshl.exe and the answer file WinpeShl.ini this in itself was worth another 3 or 30 pack to me.

I have set WinPE 5.0 wim to Eastern Standard time and tzutil show it correctly. I also have WinPE sync with my NTP server to a EST. But after use Net Time \\my_NTP_Server /Set /y which it will show correct time. But once I enter "time" in the command prompt it will show an hour earlier than the correct time.

Step 1: Create working files. No matter which kind of media you're going to create, first you need to create a working set of WinPE files. Launch the Deployment and Imaging Tools Environment as an administrator. Run CopyPE to create a working copy of the Windows PE files. Type copype amd64 C:\WinPE_amd64 and hit Enter.

I am positive I can actually get this to 32 minutes or less, but for now I will leave good enough alone. This test shows that we have cut the OSD time to less than 1/3 of the time. I’ve been in other environments where they had the image process take 24+ hours, but that is mainly boundary related issues.
https://forums.passmark.com/burnintest/42000-burnintest-with-winpe-reboot-after-72-hours
This is a limitation of WinPE "To prevent its use as a production operating system, Windows PE automatically stops running the shell and restarts after 72 hours of continuous use. This period is not configurable." The time limit is different with different versions of WInPE 24 hours - Microsoft® Windows PE, Version 2005
