Nov 15, 2015 · Windows 7 Update postpone button not working After losing a lot of work some time ago because of an automatic reboot I changed the policy to never reboot automatically with logged on users. Now I get a message where I can click to reboot or postpone for up to 4 hours, I did click 4 hours several times now and did click it yesterday for the last time and closed my laptop.

This means that windows will not prompt you to restart your machine for that duration of time but if you want to disable this notification completely, you can use Local Group Policy Editor to disable restart notification completely or delay it for a longer period.Estimated Reading Time: 1 min

I have not been able to find a GPO that will allow me to control the "Postpone" options that now appear with the Windows 7 update client. I don't want users to be able to be able to select postpone options of 1 or 4 hours. I want the message to come up every 10 minutes only.
