We visited Willow River State Park for the day with the sole purpose of playing in the falls. The hike down to the falls is on a wide paved path, but is extremely steep. The falls are large and amazing. You are free to play in the falls and swim at the base. There is even a part that allows you to walk behind the falls! Such fun!

37 reviews of Willow River State Park "This is a beautiful state park to camp or just visit. You can take an easy trail to some spectacular waterfalls. If you go to the waterfall, make sure you have water shoes for the kids, plus a change of clothes because they will want to wade in. The campground has nice bathrooms/showers and playground.
