Our takeaway, and advice to you, is that West Fork Trail is one to be seen. It offers sights and sounds that are unique to even the Sedona area that are worth seeing. But go early. Close-to-sunrise kinda early. And don't go beyond halfway. There isn't much to be seen that hasn't already been experienced and appreciated on the first half of the trail.
