The Wallace House (and its neighbor the Old Dutch Parsonage) are wonderful examples of colonial living and a great experience to visit. General George Washington used the house as both his headquarters and residence during the the MiddleBrook Encampment of the Revolutionary War. The Wallace House is faithfully preserved and restored to its 1778-79 condition.
