Round trip, the Waihee Ridge Trail took us 4 hours, but we had a toddler that we had to wait for/carry once she fell asleep, as well as a 10 and 13 year old. The trail starts off with a barbed wire fence. There are other fences along the way as well. When we hiked there some people left walking sticks next to it.

Waihee Ridge Trail is very beautiful but not for the faint hearted. It takes a bit of time to get to the top (probably 2.5-3 hours there and back) and has quite an incline. We got there around 8:30 and thought we'd beat the crowd but unfortunately, we were behind.
