Nov 24, 2010 · A good friend of mine worked at UPS and they will not deliver before the expected delivery date unless you paid for it. UPS ground service is 3-5 days depending on zone. Fedex goes by a different sysyem of radius miles to destination and zones are setup accordingly for 2 day 3 day 4 day etc.

At one time UPS used to hold 2nd Day Air packages until their scheduled delivery Day, to give the customer what they paid for, but in general this is no longer the case. Don't really have space to be holding onto packages in many hubs and delivery centers!

Dec 07, 2006 · When UPS lists a scheduled delivery date on their package tracking page, do they ever deliver before that date? The package in question has a scheduled delivery date of 12/8, but as of 5:12 AM today (12/7), its status is Out for Delivery.

Sep 19, 2007 · UPS delivers on Saturdays, but you have to request it at the time of shipping and it costs and extra $10-15. I am not sure if UPS does expedited interruptions. If you have your tracking number you might want to call them 800-742-5877. But UPS is the worlds biggest pain in the butt, and they do not value their customers, the small ones at least.

Online it said the early delivery date was today (Tuesday) with the scheduled delivery being tomorrow. I called UPS and had it set up for them to hold it for pick up but the lady said I still have to wait until tomorrow to get it because that's the scheduled delivery date.
