No external force etc, it just detached. John Lewis customer service first would not answer request for response then after much badgering said it was ‘cosmetic’ as the Hob still worked. Would not accept repair/replacement under warranty as they only warranted electrical faults, not cosmetic. JLwarranty is worthless not the John Lewis of old.2.9/5
