Eligible home delivery recipients are at least 18 years old and live within about 2 miles of The Food Bank @ St. Mary’s. This program serves those who are unable to come to our Walk-In Program (or do not have anyone to come to the food bank for them) due to age, illness, injury, or disability.

Local West Seattle school staff identify youth for the program, pick their designated food up from the food bank and ensure the food gets to them every Friday afternoon – discreetly. “Backpacks” consists of six balanced meals that are kid-friendly, nutritious, nonperishable, and easy to prepare/eat.
