The iconic volcano at The Mirage goes on every hour starting at 6pm until 11pm and you are able to watch it from the strip. We were fortunate to have had a view from our room to watch the show. It last several minutes but it is definitely cool to watch!

The volcano at the Mirage is a free attraction for all Vegas tourists. Each volcano eruption lasts between 4-10 minutes and takes place four times a night between the hours of 8:00 pm and 11:00 pm. The precise showtimes are on the top of the hour at 8:00, 9:00, 10:00, and 11:00 pm.

The volcano show used to run every half-hour from sundown to midnight. However that changed in 2015, when MGM Resorts (owners of the Mirage), announced a significantly scaled-back schedule. In November of 2021, MGM Resorts announced that they were going to sell the Mirage. Hopefully the new owners will keep this iconic Las Vegas Strip attraction.
