During my long weekend in Stockholm, I made a point to visit the highly-rated Vasa Museum. Although my interests are not necessarily nautical, it's the history that catches my attention. In 1628, the Vasa warship went on its maiden voyage and sank 1,400 yards later, but recovered in 1961.

During our peak season, from May until September, we have many visitors. Due to this there can be queues to the museum, in the most busy periods up to approximately 30 minutes. Usually, mornings and lunchtime are more busy and afternoons calmer.
