Apr 29, 2019 · Though a guy at my dealership said that lead times are only going to get worse and VW is planning a substantial price increase. Propably to discourage some people from ordering to keep lead times at least reasonable. Realistically, 6 months until delivery and I wouldn't expect it sooner.

Was told '(if factory builds) current MK7.5 Golf: 6 weeks + 8 weeks max for delivery, Mk8 Golf: 8 months or so, Polo 8 - 10 months'. Pinch of salt stuff".

Jul 31, 2018 · Lead times on the Golf GTI are currently being discussed over on golfgtiforum.co.uk. Currently, the time from order to delivery is officially 17 weeks (info from a forum member who’s in sales at a large VW dealership), or 21 weeks if a dealer has used up their build slot allocation so has to delay ordering until the following month.

Volkswagen - Ridiculous VW delivery times - again. - rtj70 Oldgit, the lead times for VW cars is influenced by the quota system they operate for dealers. If a dealer sells all of their quota for a model then you'd have to wait until they can get a car.... another dealer therefore may not have such a wait.
