The Uptown Art Fair is ranked as the best art fair in Minnesota according to The Harris Guide, and draws artists from nearly every state and several other countries. Aside from all the scheduled festivities there was a bit of unexpected entertainment Saturday night with a tornado warning that sent artists scrambling to try and protect their work.

On Saturday and Sunday, with the downloadable pass, you can ride buses and the light rail for free to the Uptown Art Fair and back home again. I love the Uptown art fair, I have been coming here ever since I can remember. My aunt Jil Franke used to do shows in the early 80s and helped me find a love in art.
