On average probably 45–48 hours per week. It can be as high as 60 during peak holiday seasons and very few drivers work less than 43 hours in a week. The hours do NOT include an unpaid half hour or full hour lunch that each driver is suppose to take depending on local contract.

The general consensus is it depends on what route you get. They can have you driving for up to 12 hours, on a day to day basis, if you get a busy route in city traffic you could be out all 12 or if you get a country route with few stops it could be more like eight to ten hours. 11.8K views. ·.

- Waking up around 3am five days a week will wear on you especially if you have a lot going on outside of work. - Hours are brutal around Christmas. I worked as a driver helper during peak in addition to my preload sort shift and I was working 60 hours some weeks doing hard physical labor. - Extremely high stress environment.

When I applied, it said the usual shifts would be between the hours of 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM during the day. At my current non-UPS job, I usually work Friday mornings from 6:00 AM to 10:00 or 11:00 AM, and I know I can still work there Sundays since the work week for UPS is generally Monday-Saturday, but I also know the nature of a Driver Helper position is that it is on-call.
