Every time I visit I go and pay $25 to rent a canoe or kayak (you can also bring your own) and go exploring double branch bay. Took me about an hour to get out into the Tampa bay. They have awesome fishing, and tons of little hidden beaches along the way.

Beautiful park with hidden animosity. Snakes and possible gater and someone saw manatee in river that goes into Tampa Bay. Great rentals $25 all day . Great launch Pier you sit in kayak and push yoursywith rollers down incline into water . We paddled 3 miles to Bay and had incoming tide that made coming back a free ride or little paddeling.
