Purchased airfare thru Ultimate fares to attend a very import family gathering. Arrived at the airport confirmation documents in hand only to be told Ultimate Fares had cancelled my tickets without notifying me. I was at the airport without a ticket, confirmation in hand, had to repurchase ticket on the spot, it cost me an extra $500.00.

After purchasing two airline tickets for $860, I was suspicious on how the website was reacting. Within a couple of hours, Ultimate Fares tried to charge my credit card several times, including one amount for $1666! My husband immediately called the credit card company to stop payment and was advised to cancel the credit card - of which he did.

At first it may look like their fares are much cheaper but once you add in the "taxes and fees" it is not. For example on one day Ultimate Fares showed the total fare at about $80 less per person but once I click on that fare and got the total including taxes it ended up being about $20 more a person.
