If you are just visiting UBC and looking around, you'll note there are many cafeteria style outlets geared to eat & go students. The Pit offers a sit down environment away from the traffic flow. It's located in the new Student Union Building and thankfully, one tradition is still honoured - you descend down a ramp to enter the Pit.
