Apr 23, 2019 · The driver is a liar. Had that happen to me today. Got an early tracking notice that delivery was rescheduled because “business was closed” . It is a residential delivery and I was here waiting. Another parcel came via UPS about 5 hours later, more the normal time. The regular driver delivering the package that came had no idea.

Feb 24, 2018 · UPS is not as bad as Fedex but the drivers definitely struggle with delivery schedules. It is why I no longer give random drivers that I see on the road my ready to go boxes…I always wondered why they seemed to hate receiving them so…do a search for articles about this and you will know why (WSJ, NYT, LAT, prolly others).

Sep 08, 2001 · I don't know if they'd really lie about a delivery attempt. I'm sure that alot of the drivers don't do all they should to make sure there's nobody there. My company ships a couple of hundred packages through UPS every day and we occasionally have customers that say they were home or at work and that UPS told them they had made attempts to deliver.

The worst part is if you read the attempted delivery emails, it tells you that you need to schedule a pickup which is a huge pain in the ass. Call in, sit on hold for 30 minutes, schedule a pickup, try to plan leaving work early.. only to have it attempted for delivery again the next day.
