Aug 19, 2010 · Yesterday I actually saw the UPS truck pull over to my street across my house, the driver just stood there, never even got off the truck and drove away. And then I get a delivery attempt failed notification, but no notice on door - of course, he never made it out of the truck!! I guess it was raining too much for him to bother.

Sep 08, 2001 · I don't know if they'd really lie about a delivery attempt. I'm sure that alot of the drivers don't do all they should to make sure there's nobody there. My company ships a couple of hundred packages through UPS every day and we occasionally have customers that say they were home or at work and that UPS told them they had made attempts to deliver.

We hold it for 5 business days but you should call 1800PICKUPS on Monday to inform them of what you want done with the pkg. Be aware if we put the pkg back out for delivery and you're not home again, we will send the pkg. straight to the shipper.

It’s either a lazy mailcarrier or sometimes the outside door to an apartment mailbox cluster (for example) is locked. I would try a delaying message for the Buyer or a call to the delivery office postmistress, if desperate.
