The tv tower is good if you want a high up view of Stockholm but it’s a little too far away from the main area of the city to be a really good view. There’s an outdoor viewing area at the top (ladies beware of high winds raising skirts up there) and a fairly decent cafe with further views one level down if you handy a bite to eat with a view.

This tower is situated in a rather dull area and the city is farther than one thinks. I remember being a visitor in Stockholm many, many years ago, I thought the entrance fee to the Kaknäs Tower was rather expensive and even then I didn't really think the view was anything spectacular.

The tower used to be open to the public, with an information centre and gift shop, indoor and outdoor observation decks as well as a restaurant, but has now been permanently closed to the public since 2018 on the grounds that the security repairs would have become too expensive.
