The nature center is in Lake Murray State Park next to Tucker Tower. Before the lake was created, Governor Tucker served in Oklahoma. He donated the land where Tucker Tower now is. I have a picture of the tower. Unless you have special permission, the tower is not able to be climbed. The nature center talks about more than just the tower.

Short steep hike up to Tucker Tower yields the interesting building. Take the steps inside the tower to the top for a great view of the lake, and the fun of just getting up high. Interesting building and a good chance to stretch your legs. Neat place. Nature center had interesting exhibits, including some live aquariums.
