From March until late May, the ride is generally only open on weekends from 12 noon until 4 or 5 p.m. depending on traffic and weather. From May until September, the ride is generally open weekdays starting at 1 p.m. and Saturdays at 12 noon. During the busy summer season, the ride may stay open until 12 midnight depending on business.

Where there were common rides, we found Trimper's rides to last a bit longer and cost a bit less. While the Jolly Roger's park is a bit more spacious, we liked Trimper's boardwalk location to be more fun. Since Trimper's use tickets (rather than a pass card), it was also easier to track how many rides you had to go.
