Visitors need not worry about kicking up dust. Boardwalks and bricks cover the ground, which allows a comfortable stroll around "town." By its very nature, Trail Dust Town is touristy. But I think this replica has been done well and it is definitely well maintained. The town, which is free to visit, generally opens from 5 to 9 p.m.
