Twelve miles north of Evansville and one mile east of US Hwy 41, the Log Inn was built in 1825 as a Noon Day Stage Coach Stop and Trading Post. We have been officially recognized as the oldest restaurant in Indiana. While visiting the Log Inn, you can dine in the same original log room that Abraham Lincoln visited in 1844.

Last night I went there and enjoyed the meal as usual but the service from the waitress was awful to say the least. Oh she was pleasant but i felt that i was imposing on her.

Really looked forward to our first Log Inn visit, and we used the opportunity to bring out-of-town guests with us. The parking lot is always packed. Dinner starts at 4pm, and at 3:59pm the whole place was already crowded. Although very busy, our wait to be seated was minimal - less than 20 minutes. We had a party of 4.
