Ambiance: The Gate is located on the corner of 5th Avenue and 3rd Street in Park Slope. Across the street from a busy park, it has a ton of foot traffic every night of the week. They are not currently allowing guests to drink inside. The darkened interior is currently an emptied out room, where you just order and grab your beer.

The Gate is awesome. Love the friendly, laid back vibe of the place -- on the edge of divey but still straddling a thin line into the world of "rustic" and "hipster." Great selection of beer at affordable prices, despite the bougie Park Slope location. The staff is kind and eager to help you select your ideal drink, which I am very grateful for!

The Gate is always a good move for a low-key drink in Park Slope, especially if you’re interested in unusual draft beers. But it’s particularly useful to know about as a late-night spot.
