They leave from Pedion Areos every 2 even hours on the half hour from 6:30am to 4:30pm so if you miss it you will have to wait 2 hours. So really your best option is to take a taxi to Pedion Areos where you can also catch the bus that takes the inland road which leaves every 2 hours starting at 5:45 am until 3:34pm.
