I looked at four Books of Hours printed in France, which are now located in Oxford libraries: an example from around 1500 at Balliol College, one from the late seventeenth century at Keble College, one dated 1706 at the Taylorian, and one dated 1874 and also located at Keble.

The Institute opened in 1849 but housed such miscellaneous treasures as Stubbs' lectures and a collection of butterflies. It did not come into its own until the establishment of the Modern Languages Faculty in Oxford in 1903.
