COVID update: Taiko has updated their hours, takeout & delivery options. 1986 reviews of Taiko "First time I ever had sushi was at this place! Very unique california rolls...several years later and now that I actually eat sashimi - I would still get the California rolls here. The rest of their food is quite good, as well. Ambiance is a friendly, locals mood.

Taiko is one of the best value propositions in Irvine. Good Japanese food and sushi, large serving sizes, and reasonable prices. There is often a line to get in the door but it's worth it, and if you get there early (5:30pm on a Friday the last time out) you can get in without a problem. The salmon sashimi is always fresh, fatty, and plentiful.
Taiko is always my favorite sushi place in Irvine. Food always amazing especially seafood salad, cucumber special w/ crab, salmon boat and more. The price reasonable for the quality. Our server she always amazing friendly, fast, helpful, constantly come and check on us. The dining area is so well clean. Strongly recommend Taiko -Ann Taiko … Home Read More »
