When i try to send mail i receive "Transient parse error" I have several HPUX servers where i configure the mail. I don't use DNS so I use the /etc/hosts file to make the name resolution.

If you still see the same messages queued up and pending for delivery, talk to the admins of the smart relay server if you have one Hint: grep ^DS /etc/mail/sendmail.cf

You also might want to check with the administrator of the mail relay server. You'll get transient parse errors when the mail agent on your server is unable to connect to the mail relay.
