Regretfully, after checking around I don't believe this is a feature enabled on the iPhone currently. I am aware that delivery reports are in the beta for the next Software Upgrade to iOS 5 (this is publicly available information that a google search can turn up, and nothing more), however I understand that is only for iMessages (iPhone to iPhone messaging).

The Iphone 4 does NOT support SMS delivery reports and that is the problem not VF. Other networks have an older technology in place that allows you to add a prefix to a number and get a delviery report that way but VF does not have that facility.
