The hike up to the cross offers great views just off the trail, here is everything I said earlier: Skip the hike in the summer and take the tram up. Epic views even when it is foggy! You will need to hike up past the cross. This adds about 10-20 minutes onto the trip each way. Shoots often end up to be 2 hours.
