It gets better in that you should work less hours, but I'd get used to it. 90% if not more of M3 year is a waste and inefficient use of your time. I averaged 55 hrs a week with a range of 30 to 85 hours per week. The key is finding balance, which is tough if not impossible on those longer rotations!

Also- all the rotations will be fewer hours so that’s nice. Highly recommend surgery first. Edit: I misread the question- learn the anatomy starting with the vessels since failing to properly ligate a major vessel is a surgeons biggest nightmare.
