I totally agree with the whole idea of 80-90 hours of surgery > 60-70 hours of rounding (hence why I started this thread), but honestly 120 hours a week of anything is too much. I for one am glad to hear it's closer to 80 than 120.

Big city east coast IM. Similar hours, if you're scheduled for a primary service (MICU/IMC/Wards) you're scheduled for about 60-66 hours a week (depending on the call schedule), 7a-5p, with call being 2 hrs after. Weekends are half days unless you're on call.
