Surfside used to be a small unknown beach south of Galveston. It is growing year by year and the beaches are great. They have a pedestrian beach and drive-on beach. They are kept clean and there are portable toilets available. You will need a beach permit of $12 to drive on the beach but it's a small price to pay for a clean beach and nice water.
