Hours of Operation: Opening Night is June 2, 2021. A 1913 hand carved wooden carousel which operates from May-September in the picturesque Story City North Park. This small central Iowa community purchased it in 1938 and rescued it from deterioration by completely restoring it in 1982.

This is a must-see attraction! The carousel in Story City is beautifully restored and full of history. (which you can read about when you are there) Riding the carousel is great fun for kids of all ages and well worth the $1.00 ticket price. Be sure to chat with one of the volunteers, they love to brag about Story City.
