As far as being statemented, it's virtually impossible nowadays. He is now Year 5 and I have only just been able to get them to provide 12 1/2 hours of one-to-one now. They absolutely refuse to statement him, although he really does need it. And this is even after the fact that he went to a special needs nursery. I'm dreading senior school.

unfortunatly, if his statement says 15 hours, and the school is providing 15 hours, then they are providing the care he is judged as needing. You are lucky to get that. Many statemented children recieve their allocated support through shared hours, if that. School funding is much tighter now than it was a few years ago.
