The Lucille Nixon elementary school further down from Stanford Ave has FREE WEEKEND parking, but the school has no parking signs on the weekdays from 7am-4pm for Dish visitors. Any other neighborhood street parking requires a permit. Worse case, one can keep going along Stanford Ave to the more residential area where parking is more lax.

Stanford Dish is a popular place for walking and jogging -- which is why the very limited parking makes it so very difficult to actually be able to walk there if you don't happen to live in the nearby residences -- and gives a chance to see and feel Mother Nature over the course of the 3.5 mile paved circuit road that functions as footpath (and occasionally service road for the dish).
