The best thing about Silver mountain is how easy it is to get there. The gondola station is literally two blocks off Interstate 90. We drove in from Seattle in just over 5 hours, travelling at posted speed limits of 70 or 75 mph the whole way. The second-best thing is the price: we paid less than half of what it would have cost to ski Whistler.
