Before you accept a job offer to fly SIC, review the company OpSpecs and regulations. If the flight time qualifies as SIC, you're good to go. But if it doesn't, don't push your luck with your logbook. If you can't explain to an interviewer the requirements of your previous operation and how you logged the flight time, that's a major red flag.

Luckily I only did the King Air flying as a contract basis while flying a Lear part 91, but still racked up 85 hours in the KA. I knew I could not log it as SIC because the plane does not require it so I just logged it as total, MEL, X-Country, and turboprop. I have been told the insurance company requires 2 crew on 135 legs but still not 100% ...

On the Settings - Flight Logging page, set-up a user time field called 'aerobatics'. Manually insert flight time in that user field whenever you perform aerobatics. Aerobatic experience logged with a user defined time field is viewed in reports T001, T002 and G015. Aerobatic time associated with the aircraft is shown in report T001, T002 and G014.

The “1500 hours” associated with the ATP (with or without restricted privileges) refers to total flight time. So, if you’re legally logging SIC time, that counts toward the 1500. You also need 250 hours of PIC, for an ATP with restricted privileges, which also counts toward the 1500.

Thanks all. Appears you are correct. According to another forum, I can log the entire flight time under “total flight time”, and any time that my buddy was under the foggles as PIC time. We flew 3.5 hours, and he was under for 2.5 of that. So, I logged 2.5 hours of PIC time, and 3.5 total flight time.

Appropriately logged SIC time can be applied toward the 1,500-hour total flight time requirement for ATP certification, and can also be logged toward some of the specific ATP flight time requirements including those in FAR 61.159(a)(1) through (4).

And meet the flight time requirements of FAR 61.160 - roughly 1,500 hours; Before this change, SIC's only needed a Commercial Pilot Certificate - roughly 250 hours of flight time - so this is a big change. However, the FAA recognizes that great training can make up for some raw experience.
