Apr 2016. Shelly Lake is a slice of heaven in Northwest Raleigh. The lake is pretty with a walking trail that meanders around it. There are ducks which people feed, a couple of wooden bridges, a water fountain, bathroom facilities. An Arts center (Sertoma) is on site, and they have a variety of programs offered.
