It states "Night rate is a period of 7 hours and will normally be one of the following two options: 0100 to 0800 BST (same clock time all year) or 0130 to 0830 BST. I've been informed by Scottish Power that our meter, which is only 4 years old, complies with the 'same clock time all year' requirement, therefore our night hours are "0100 to 0800 BST (same clock time all year)" .

Its usually between 11:30pm and 7:30am. You can tell by looking at your meter - when the night rate is on the little red light should be flashing in the bottom right hand corner - all depends on your meter though , if its an ancient one it might not have it!

Hi all, I'm new to this message boarding, so forgive me for any errors! I cannot believe how impossible it is to actually speak to anyone at Scottish Power. I spent hours trying everything I could to contact them and actually succeeded, only to be told by somebody there that the Low Tariff only applied for a half-hour between 5 and 5:30am.
