In July 2021, the Saylorville Archery Range opened to the public! It has eight shooting stations with covered targets ranging from 10 to 50 yards. Shoot from ground level or the elevated shooting structure! There’s also a lane for archers with their own targets. Hours are sunrise to sunset, and it’s free to use. Rules, regulations, and procedures are on-site.

The parks around the lake are very nice. Jester Park on the far northwest side stands out as a great place. Big Creek Lake is an offshoot from the northeast side. I really like that lake. In some ways, I like the look and feel better than Saylorville. The rest of the parks all seem to be on the southern end of the lake near the dam.
