1 review of Safe-T-Towing "There is absolutely nothing "safe" about this company. Truck #7 was at Northtown Mall today where he was approached by a mall security officer. The driver was VERY rude to the officer, telling him "Go f*ck yourself" for no apparent reason. Another officer showed up and the driver backed his truck into the officer! I couldn't believe It!

Posts: 3,102. If you have a torque wrench adjusting it is quite simple. The U-bolts are torqued to 20 ft lbs, which is fairly low and the U-bolt bracket can be bent if you just crank the nuts down. A very tiny movement will make a noticeable change. Mine is anchored on the driver's side and the movable U-bolt plate is towards the passenger side.
