In 1961, Harold Sadler, opened up his own Sadler’s Smokehouse in Lufkin, Texas. Harold had a real passion for making a high quality, premium pit-smoked brisket.

    Total Time: 2 hours, 15 minutes. In a stock pot over medium heat, combine all ingredients, except pork. Cover and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 1 to 1 ½ hours until red potatoes and carrots are tender. Add pulled pork and continue simmering for 20 minutes. Serve stew over hot rice.
