Feb 23, 2018 · I don’t believe the item has to be signed-for by the customer who bought it. Just someone at the correct address. You can purchase signature confirmation that only the addressee can sign for which, of course, costs more money than standard delivery confirmation.

On a Redelivery, the addressee (or an authorized agent) must be present to sign for an Accountable Mailpiece (For example, an item with Signature Confirmation).
