Sep 28, 2008 · you only need to take them out for an MRI, the dr. will let you know if they need to come out or not, unfortunatly if it is a mri you are getting you will have to take them out wheather it is hard or not becuase the mri machine is like a huge magnet when turned on and it will rip those earings right out of your ears, but for just a plain old x-ray you should be albe to keep them in
