May 21, 2012 · I am thinking about switching my 181's out for some sdx comp's and was just wondering how street friendly they are? When I bought my truck it had full cuts in it and I was embarrassed to drive it on the street because of it smoking so bad so I don't want these if they're gonna be like that.

Aug 10, 2011 · In my experience the comp delivery valves add near zero part throttle smoke themselves. The injector is far more important in this regard. My truck with the previous 5x13s and comp delivery valves smoked far far less than it does with the current 5x20s and 181s. Hoping to calm part throttle smoke down with a spool flange when they become available.

May 25, 2013 · If you look closely at the competition cut delivery valve, it still has a fairly wide shoulder. In fact, most other shops selling full cuts utilize full shoulder width 131 or 181 valves for their competition cut profile.
